GT-C94 molten metal splash tester is a material testing instrument designed to evaluate the thermal penetration resistance of protective clothing and industrial textiles when exposed to high-temperature metal melt droplets.

Metal Droplet Generation Device
- Oxyacetylene torch: melts the metal wire (stick) with a welding tip diameter of (1.2±0.1)mm
- Wire movement control: powered by a motorized wheel system, with a wire feed rate of (10 ± 1)g/min
- Welding tip and wire positioning: the distance between the welding tip and the wire (stick) is adjustable (usually 12 mm)
- Droplet weight: (0.50±0.05)g
- Droplet frequency: 20 drops per minute (±3 seconds)
- Start distance: from the wire to the welding burner
- Flame length: adjustable length of the deep blue flame core

Droplet Guide Mechanism
- Funnel guide: the angle of the funnel guide is adjustable to accommodate an (8±0.2)mm diameter metal strip. A cover is included for when the guide is not in use
- Adjustable holder: provides three-dimensional adjustability for the funnel guide and bearing

Temperature Sensing System
- Sensor support: made from high-temperature insulating material with thermal conductivity of (0.125 ± 0.015) W/(m·K) and specific heat of 1.15 J/(g·K), with a surface groove dimension of (13.5×11) mm at 40°C
- Temperature sensor: armored platinum resistor coated with high-temperature adhesive, resistance of 100Ω, with a thermal response time ≤0.5 seconds at 0℃, and dimension of (12.5×10) mm
- Display & record: displays heating time, droplet number, and frequency on the sample back. Alerts if the test temperature exceeds 250°C or the temperature rise on the sample back exceeds 40K
- Precision: resolution of ≤±0.5K, with a test deviation ≤±0.4K
- Installation: the temperature sensor can be mounted on the sample frame via a groove, and secured with four bolts

- Sample holder support ensures the sample stays in contact with the sensor
- Pre-tension of (175 ±5g) is applied to the sample
- Adjustable sample positioning for vertical and horizontal alignment
